Think Safety First.

Safety is a priority at Lake Region Energy Services. As a trusted natural gas supplier, we take steps to protect the safety of our customers, employees and the communities we serve. You can help us by learning how to recognize dangerous situations and take proper action.

Call Before You Dig

Natural gas lines and other utility services are often buried underground. Before you dig in your yard, call Gopher State One Call at (800) 252-1166 or dial 811.

Natural Gas Safety

Learn to recognize and report a gas leak, protect yourself from carbon monoxide buildup, and maintain your natural gas appliances and lines. Keep your home and family safe from potential hazards with regular maintenance and inspections.

Meter Safety

Keep your meter safe and accessible in all seasons. Learn to recognize the signs of damage or corrosion, and take corrective action before your bill or your family are affected.

Equipment Safety

Gas piping requires proper maintenance to keep it functioning correctly and to prevent corrosion and leakage. Lake Region Energy Services is responsible for maintaining and repairing the service line, the regulator, and the meter itself. You are responsible for maintaining the line from the meter to your home both above and below ground and the line that extends to your natural gas-fired appliances.

Pipeline Awareness

Think safety first. There are over 2.5 million miles of pipeline in the U.S. today. Lake Region Energy Services operates distribution pipelines, consisting of main lines and service lines. Although pipelines are the safest means of transporting energy products, it is important to follow state Call Before You Dig guidelines. Just a few simple steps can prevent emergencies.
